his reflection of words
and my reaction to his verve

the evidence rest between my eyes
and my secret cries
locked in a chest full of silence… and THESE thick thighs

Like this painted image he left behind
inside of me without sound

I can still recall the first time we met
his bare back and bare chest
Hands and paint brush… captured wet
The ancient scenes
it seems
Had me caught up in his rapturous dreams

yet looking away
avoiding the pull
on OUR WEATHERED soulS

now I spend days trying to remember
What my existence was WHEN IT WAS void of HE

nothing to remember
before HE and his lyric

Before He spilled his ink… allowing me to hear it
Through the forest of my bated breaths
Held my hand
Through every step

was I so deep inside my slumber

A Scarlet woman
without the evidence of contemplation
and elation related to the levels of condemnation
for I feel… for what is real
gentleness …….HE afforded me

of HIS nouns and verbs
carefully structured words

we mingle and surge
heal and purge
