When I first wrote this piece as it appears in the original poem... I was intentionally being a bit of a minimalist lyrically in my style of writing... which for anyone who has read me... knows.... it is a serious challenge for me. I immediately knew that this would be a piece that I wanted to record... even before I became as actively engaged in doing audio recordings of my poetry as I AM today.

So when I decided in the right moment to do it... it just clicked! I just knew that I would have to some degree restructure the original lyrics minimally for vocal delivery. I AM a funny individual... I usually wait for the right moment to be moved by spirit as to when I mean to do something. I call this the most auspicious moment when my Muse speaks to me... and my true voice echoes back.

What I did not realize when I first began... was ALL of what else resided inside of me that began to emerge organically... from the first moment I dropped the main lyrics into the audio environment that I chose. I felt strong about some of the things that I see happening to our virtually driven society in the diminishing of humanity that became the lyrics that you will see here that I added specifically in this remix... recording even as I was arranging it.

I scribbled little bits of ideas in my notebook here and there... until finally I found how and where to fit the dispersed pieces I had written together with the original... that you see here in the lyrics section and hear here in the recording itself. I spoke with my true voice... and that was that.

that what we... speak of love...
when we... preach of love... when we really
speak of hate.

you love me... and yet we lie to one another...
precisely... the ones we... say... we love...
for the love of God...
for love of country
for the love of Corps.... fathers
gladly... send their... sons to war... for what?
to die for... mother mother's... again.
write click... the new click
the new shtick... the bully on the block
become the bully on the... internet...
never given... love.

though politically apolitical...
though I never... swerve away from... love...
I never swerve... away from social commentary.
if the shoe fits... wear it
it unerves you... then bear it
a quitter... never wins... and a... winner never quits.
so why hate... when it comes... to love?
assault and battery by weapons of mass distraction
"somebody get that baby off the fire escape!"
right click...
now you can pull the... right chick... or the right dick
for a little bit... of disrespect
grown and sexXxy's cool
(watching as the world turns
NYC to East LA... it'll be okay)
but I really wish you'd
watch those... babies too.

yeah... we're gonna get sexXxy too... but I would be
